Nature Experiences
Sightseeing:
The fact that the inner Storfjord area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List witnesses that the
nature in this area is special. The narrow fjords and the steep mountains known all over the world.
On the fjord it is possible to get a close experience to the nature. Fjordturar can give you
a trip experience that is both closer to the nature, and better adapted to your needs than from
what you can get from the regular cruise traffic.
Hikes:
The fjord Storfjorden reaches from Ålesund in the west, and goes over to the fjords
Norddalsfjorden,
Tafjorden, and Geirangerfjorden in the east. The fjord is surrounden by old fjord- and mountain
farms. Most of these farms are well maintaned, and are therefore interesting destinations for
hiking trips. Many of the mountain farms is located in such a way that one is dependent to use a
boat to get there, other farms is located in such a way that one can use boat one way and hike the
other. Fjordturar is a good choise for a good start and/or ending to a hike to the beautiful
mountains.
Fishing:
The deep fjords and the quite fjord arms makes it possible to see a broad maritime life in the
fjord Storfjorden. Fjordturar has both equipment and experience that makes it possible to take you
out fishing - a trip that contain both catching and prepare the fish on the same trip.
